Juicebox Consent Workshop

This workshop is open for women, trans men, and nonbinary folks who have an understanding of consent but want to explore their own murky waters of consent more. This workshop will be focused on:

understanding the history of consent and factors that influence a lack of clarity

connecting with one’s own sense of pleasure, desire, embodied consent, and

working through negotiations.

A portion of the workshop will allow for physical touch of the participant´s forearm and hand. No one is required to participate in anything they do not feel comfortable with and we have an alternative exercise prepared. During the workshop, if feelings of arousal arise, we ask that you do not follow them.

This educational space will be split into two 45-minute sections with a 10-minute break in between. It is facilitated by Clare Zhou (they/them), a trauma-informed sexual health educator, biology teacher, yoga instructor, and kinkster. Space is limited to 16 participants so sign up for a space as soon as possible. Please note the venue is not easily wheelchair-accessible and we apologise for the lack of access. If you would like to attend but are unable to because of physical, financial, or time constraints please email zhouxiaolinlin@gmail.com so we can find a way to accommodate you at a future date.

Juicebox is a community created to celebrate the feminine, a space dedicated to being vulnerable, to explore, learn, and unlearn. While we acknowledge there is no such thing as “safe sex”, the team at Juicebox is committed to harm reduction and safer sex practices. That is why we are here to provide consent workshops. Please join us in building a culture of consent.
